Having the Courage to Care

Today I read this article - "Employees Who Feel Love Perform Better."



The quotation in the article from Zappo’s really caught my eye “We are more than a team though…we are a family. We watch out for each other, care for each other and go above and beyond for each other.”


It was heartening to read that recent research is showing what I have discovered during my many years of life and leadership: caring for the well-being of people opens communication doors that remain steadfastly shut under all other circumstances!


To have the courage to care has become my mantra when relating to others. Ultimately, this is a much more relaxed way of communicating and working with people than the more traditional transactional focus.


For me, anyway😊
